Description
Horse chestnut extract (liquid)
contains a saponin called escin, which has anti-inflammatory properties. In addition, escin strengthens the walls of the veins and arteries, giving it vasoprotective properties. The condition of capillaries is improved because horse chestnut extract reduces the presence of elastase and hyaluronidase; enzymes that break down protein.
Horse Chestnut is ideal for inclusion in formulations designed to improve skin conditions that affect the capillaries (dark under eyes circles, rosacea, thread veins).
Combine with liquorice root extract and centella asiatica extract for products to improve the above listed skin conditions.

Usage Rate – up to 10%. Typically 3% to 5%
May be added to the heated water phase of emulsions but we recommend adding it at 40C or below.
The extract is produced via microwave extraction, and does not contain any animal derived components
