Description
Dragon Fruit Oil
is extracted from the seeds of the exotic, cactus like, pitaya tree (Hylocereus undatus) which grows in tropical regions. The fruit is so called because of it’s red tinged leathery skin which is covered with sharp scales.
The oil is exceptionally high in Vitamin C and is therefore a great addition to creams and lotions as well as facial oils. Vitamin C is a wonderful vitamin for the skin as it provides collagen boosting and skin lightening benefits as well as protecting the skin from harmful free radicals. The cold pressed oil contains betacyanins and betaxanthins which are potent anti-oxidants.
