Montanov 68 Vegetal Emulsifier
Is a non-ionic vegetable derived oil-in-water emulsifier that creates sophisticated lotions and creams with a wonderful skin feel. It is similar to Olivem 1000 in that it creates lamellar emulsions with liquid crystals around oil droplets and in the continuous (water) phase.
Please note that this is the same product as Vegetal. Same product – different brand names
- Emulsifies all types of oils (ester, mineral, vegetable, silicone)

Combines well with Sepimax Zen. Sepimax Zen works as a thickener, stabiliser, and secondary emulsifier. For a 10% oil phase use 3% Montanov 68, 0.3% Sepimax Zen, and 1% Dub Cire H1
Although it could be specific to our formulation (i.e our particular combination of all ingredients), we have noticed a significant lessening in whitening (soaping) that is typical of silicone free emulsions. The manufacturer (Seppic) does state in their product information sheet that Montanov 68 creates emulsions that do not whiten on application
Usage 2% – 8%
