Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of your body’s connective tissue that maintains skin’s strength and elasticity.

What does it do?
It can retain over a 1000 times its weight in water, so it’s super-hydrating and helps to give you a bright appearance by keeping cells plumped and strong.

Who should use it?
As we age, the natural hyaluronic acid levels in our skin decrease. Mostly found in anti-ageing creams for mature skin, hyaluronic acid is quickly becoming a preventative treatment and skin staple for younger people looking to stave off the effects of ageing for as long as possible. Continuous use  ensures you retain moisture and elasticity in your skin.

How to Use: HA powder should not be added directly to your formulation. It must first be pre-dissolved in water at the rate of 1g to 100g (or ml) of water. HA powder is difficult to work with and tends to clump together when added to water. It can be mixed with a little glycerine (1g powder to 10g glycerine) to form a paste which can then be added to your water under the action of a high-speed mixer. Our current batch is a less fine powder which makes it easier to incorporate into water

Usage Rate of the 1% solution. Up to 5% of your formulation. Add at cool down phase ( below 40C)

Combine with SLMW Hyaluronic Acid (9g Standard weight + 2g Super Low Weight for a 1 litre stock solution) for improved hydration efficacy
