Description

Glycerine Palm Free

Also known as glycerol, glycerine is a natural humectant that is commonly used in skincare products due to its ability to attract and retain moisture. When applied to the skin, glycerine can help to hydrate and plump the skin, which can improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Glycerine can also help to strengthen the skin barrier, which can protect the skin from environmental stressors such as pollution and UV rays. Additionally, glycerine can help to soothe and calm the skin, making it a good choice for those with sensitive or irritated skin. It can also help to improve the overall texture and tone of the skin, leaving it looking smoother, softer, and more radiant. Overall, glycerine can be a beneficial ingredient in skincare products for those looking to improve the hydration and overall health of their skin.

It ought to be an integral ingredient in creams and lotions and we recommend adding 3% to your heated water phase. Adding more than 3% might make your cream a little tacky.

It’s also a very useful ingredient in toners and cleansers; use at 3%

Incorporate glycerine and jojoba esters in a 3:1 ratio in a cream or lotion to create a 24 hour moisturising effect

Combines well with betaine

Please note: This ingredient is 100% vegetable derived and not derived from palm oil

Important Note: We’ve had quite a few e-mails from customers querying apparent short measures when they receive their glycerine from us. Glycerine is heavier than water, so whereas 1kg water will occupy exactly 1 litre, because of glycerines greater density, it will occupy a lower volume – about 800ml. For techies – the relative density of glycerine to water is 1.26 meaning it is about 1/4 heavier than water.
